Muzeum Zamojskie is housed in the Armenian tenement houses on the Great Market Square, a row of the most decorated buildings in the town. Its displays trace the history of Zamość and its region and the story of the Zamoyski family who founded and owned the town.
The Armenian Houses of the Great Market Square
The houses on ul. Ormiańska were built by Armenian merchant families in the early and mid 1600s, their facades carrying carved motifs that mix Eastern decoration with Renaissance proportions. Even from outside they are one of the most photographed sights in Zamość.
