Privacy Policy

ViewPoland is an independent, English-language travel guide to Poland. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have. Any questions, write to hello@viewpoland.com.

What we collect

• Analytics data, only after you accept analytics in the cookie banner. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and how the site performs. This includes pages viewed, approximate location (country or city, not your exact address), device and browser type, and referring site. Google acts as our processor.
• Newsletter email, if you choose to submit your address to hear about new guides. We use it only for that purpose and you can opt out at any time.
• Server logs, kept automatically by our hosting for security and troubleshooting: IP address, user agent and timestamps.
• Essential cookies needed for the site to work (see the Cookie Policy).

We do not run advertising trackers, we do not build profiles, and we never sell your data.

Legal basis (GDPR)

• Analytics and the newsletter: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Server logs and essential cookies: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.

Who we share it with

Google (analytics, only if you consent) and our hosting provider, which stores the site and its logs on servers in the European Union. Fonts are served by Bunny Fonts, which is designed not to set cookies or log identifying data, and photography is delivered through Pexels. We share data only as needed to run the site, never for sale.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept only for a limited period for security purposes.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or provide it in a portable form. You can withdraw consent for analytics or the newsletter at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@viewpoland.com. You also have the right to complain to the Polish data protection authority (UODO, uodo.gov.pl).

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top always shows the current version.
