The writer's villa in Kazimierz Dolny
Built in 1936 and nicknamed 'Pod Wiewiorka' (Under the Squirrel), this was the home of the novelist Maria Kuncewiczowa and her husband Jerzy, a writer and politician. It was designed by Karol Sicinski, the architect who shaped much of the town's look between the wars and after 1945.
Inside the Kuncewicz House museum
The house is now the literary branch of the Vistula River Museum. The rooms are kept in their original furnishings, arranged so visitors get the sense of a home that is still lived in rather than a set of display cases.
