Does EU roaming work in Poland?
Quick answer
If you have an EU or EEA plan, roam-like-at-home rules apply and your normal allowance works in Poland at no extra cost. Visitors from outside the EU should buy a local SIM or eSIM.
If your mobile plan is from an EU or EEA country, roam-like-at-home rules apply. Your usual minutes, texts and data work in Poland at no extra charge, within the fair-use limits your provider sets. There is nothing to switch on.
Coming from outside the EU
Travellers from the UK, US and other non-EU countries should check their roaming rates before arriving, as they can be high. In most cases a local prepaid SIM or an eSIM is far cheaper than home roaming. After Brexit, UK plans are not covered by EU roam-like-at-home rules, so UK visitors should check whether their operator still includes EU roaming.
