Nature and water at the Valley of Three Ponds

This park in southern Katowice is named for its three main ponds, though the wider area holds several more bodies of water. First laid out as a leisure ground of about 125 hectares in the 1960s, it was later folded into the larger Katowice Forest Park, giving it a mix of open water, woodland and lawns.

Things to do at Dolina Trzech Stawow

Locals come to walk, run, cycle, skate and picnic, with water sports, fishing and kayaking on the ponds in season and playgrounds for children. It is one of the city's main green escapes, an easy contrast to the Culture Zone and centre.

Events at the Valley of Three Ponds in Katowice

The park regularly hosts concerts and festivals, most notably the OFF Festival, one of Silesia's larger music events. There are bars and food outlets across the grounds. As facilities and event dates change through the year, check current listings before a special trip.
