The City Art Gallery (Miejska Galeria Sztuki) holds a permanent display of work by Zdzisław Beksiński, one of few places in Poland to show a substantial group of his art. It gathers around 30 paintings and 30 drawings alongside video material.
How the Beksiński display came to Częstochowa
The paintings and drawings were provided for permanent presentation by the artist's friends and collectors, Anna and Piotr Dmochowski of Paris. The display opened in 2006 as the Museum of Zdzisław Beksiński and later reopened simply as 'Beksiński'.
Where the City Art Gallery is in Częstochowa
